The Marketing Show is a new format information event taking place in Johannesburg for the first time on 15-16 April, 2008. Designed for marketing professionals, the event focuses on the best new marketing innovations and e-marketing techniques from leading international markets of US, UK, Europe and Asia; and is sponsored by Microsoft who will host the event as well contribute to the event's content with it’s leading insights into e-marketing technologies and strategies.
The Marketing Show is unique and proving very popular every time it is produced which in addition to Johannesburg in 2008 will also include London, Paris, Munich, Madrid and Lisbon. The Marketing Show features international as well as local experts in marketing innovation and e-marketing. This year’s event will examine new consumer trends, how to succeed in social media, how to create customer value through online services, what’s next in media and where you should be putting your promotion money, where big business is going with sustainable business and marketing, new trends in retail innovation, the right tools for calculating marketing ROI and much more.
Says Tom Garrahan, long time marketing and advertising executive and one of the hosts of the program, “most marketers are so focused on their local marketplaces, that they simply do not have time to study the potentially interesting new ideas and techniques being developed in other countries. The Marketing Show is a gateway way to learn first hand about some of the leading new best practices coming out countries like the U.S., U.K., Europe and Asia.”
The event is run like a tv program with interviews, short keynote style presentations, product demonstrations, short features on new developments including video interviews with trend setters and newsmakers. (you can see a video clip at www.marketing-show.com/video )
