The Marketing Show is a new event that has been conceived and organized by The Alpha Quadrant Ltd., a UK based company.
The idea for The Marketing Show came from two perceptions about the world of marketing, i) that it is becoming increasingly difficult for marketing professionals to stay current with all the new marketing practices and marketing communications developments that are seemingly being announced daily, and ii) that it would be very useful for many people to be able to attend a single information event covering all the important developments a marketing professional should know about.
The Marketing Show was conceived and co-founded by Neil Gibbons and Tom Garrahan.
Neil Gibbons has over 25 years of international marketing management, executive management and leadership experience in FMCG, and financial services technology sectors. In addition to almost 15 years experience in brand-management with US multi-nationals, Neil has refined his marketing experience working a range of industries from financial services to technology start-ups. In addition, Neil has held the position of President and CEO for 3 publicly-listed and privately held entities over recent years. Tom Garrahan, has held senior executive positions in international advertising and marketing for more 14 years with the former Ted Bates Worldwide (Saatchi & Saatchi owned) where he was International Client Services Director and the former GGK International where he was International Client Services Director & C.O.O., working with companies such as IBM Europe, Olivetti Europe, Mars Confectionery & Petfoods Europe, Colgate-Palmolive, VW /Skoda International, Caterpilar, ABB International, Bristol Myers, Fisher-Price, Tyco, Lego, Benson & Hedges, Tuborg, Benckieser, Mobile Chemical, Dow Chemical, SIPA Machinery.
He has organized a number of commercial information seminars most notably related to Business & Marketing on the Internet as well in an advisory role with Chinese Ministry of Economics to produce similar events.
The Marketing Show development team is comprised of writers, producers, researchers, a strategic advisory board as well as with contributions from senior executives of marketing and marketing communications firms.
